The Plot: Davids vs. Goliath
The Season 2 finale, "Tragedy and Flies," set the stage for a fundamentally different dynamic. For the first time, Tommy Norris is not fixing problems for a corporation; he is the competition.
- CTT Oil Exploration
Tommy's new independent outfit. Lean, aggressive, and staffed by the best talent (Cooper, Dale, Nate). Backed by cartel-adjacent money.
- M-Tex Corporation
Still a giant, but hollowed out. Led by Cami Miller, who has the assets but lost the expertise. They have the scale, but Tommy has the know-how.
Season 3 will likely focus on this asymmetric warfare. Tommy will use guerrilla tactics to outmaneuver M-Tex, while Cami will likely use M-Tex's legal and financial weight to try and crush CTT before it can get a foothold.
"We wanted the audience to feel a little uneasy... Now, you're going to see a guy who is not answering to a corporation anymore. He's answering to himself and the people around him, which is a lot more dangerous."
The "Wildcard" is Dan Gallino—his money comes with life-or-death strings attached.
Cast: Who Returns?
Note: Demi Moore's involvement may be scaled back as the focus shifts to the independent oil wars, though she remains the primary antagonist.
